Small Business Stories: Family pub impacted by COVID
Two Small Business Financial Counsellors walked into a bar… and offered life-changing support for small business owners Stephen and Lynda Shofield.
Not long after they had taken over the historic Aramac pub in 2020, COVID-19 hit.
Like many people, they thought it would ‘just blow over in a couple of months’. But it didn’t. And with lockdowns and restrictions continuing, it started to impact the business and personal finances just to keep the doors open.
Fortunately they didn't even need to make a call with our small business financial counsellors, Paul and Paula Misipeka, popping in for a visit. She is certain that if the two didn't walk into her pub in early 2020, her business would not have continued operating. In this video Lynda explains how they helped.
