About Rachel

Rachel Bock has had a diverse and impactful career, with a deep commitment to supporting rural Queensland. Growing up on a grain farm in Brigalow in southwest Queensland, she gained firsthand experience of the challenges of rural life before completing her schooling in Brisbane after her family transitioned out of farming.

After 20 years in the finance sector in Brisbane, Rachel relocated to Longreach to take on an 18-month contract as a Rural Financial Counsellor.

During her time in Longreach, Rachel developed a strong connection to the Central West and its people, eventually making the region her home. Over the next decade, she dedicated herself to assisting rural clients across Central West Queensland, providing essential financial guidance and support. More recently, Rachel transitioned into a project management role within the aged care and disability sector.

Rachel’s passion for rural communities remains strong, and she is excited to continue her work with Rural Financial Counselling Services North Queensland (RFCSNQ). As a Director, she is committed to using her skills and experience to further the organisation’s mission. With a solid understanding of the agricultural sector and the financial hurdles faced by regional businesses, Rachel is determined to guide RFCSNQ in its efforts to strengthen rural communities and businesses. Her aim is to ensure that these communities have access to the essential resources, advice, and support they need to thrive in an ever-evolving economic environment.
