Free support to develop your Farm Business Resilience Plan

The Farm Business Resilience Program offers tailored support for North Queensland farmers and graziers across all commodities to prepare for the future.

FBPNQ is an initiative of the Remote Area Planning and Development Board (RAPAD) and can work with clients alongside the Rural Financial Counselling Service NQ.

The program offers a comprehensive approach to strengthening your business by enabling you to:

  • Evaluate all key aspects of your operation, including production, natural resource management, financial performance, workplace health and safety, succession planning, and personal goals.

  • Access valuable learning opportunities through targeted training and workshops.

  • Identify effective strategies to mitigate business risks.

  • Enhance farm management practices and overall business performance.

  • Develop a tailored Farm Business Resilience Plan.

Completing a Farm Business Resilience Plan not only equips you with a clear strategy for your business but also makes you eligible for drought preparedness and recovery support through QRIDA, including access to low-interest loans and grants.

The plan also serves as a powerful tool for aligning stakeholders—such as financiers, accountants, solicitors, and employees—on the direction and goals of your business.

The Farm Business Resilience Program is jointly funded through the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund and the Queensland Government’s Drought and Climate Adaptation Program.
