Jill services Mossman and surrounding communities but also works in conjunction with her colleagues to support all clients in the Far North.
Jill has family ties to the Douglas Shire through the sugar industry, cattle farming, and the fisheries industry. Although she grew up in Western Australia, she was born in Cairns and is a 6th generation Mossman local, returning home in 2012 with her family to study.
Jill’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Business – Management; Bachelor of Arts - Environmental Studies; Master of Professional Accounting; and Master of Business Administration.
On graduating with her bachelor’s degrees, Jill spent time in the laboratory at the Mossman Mill analysing sugar and molasses, and carrying out environmental water analysis, before becoming the lab manager and later taking over as the Human Resources and Health, Safety and Environment Advisor.
A love of numbers, the agricultural industry, and a passion for helping people, has led Jill to the role of a Rural Financial Counsellor.
Jill is looking forward to the opportunity to help primary producers in the region.
