Emma Cook has been a Rural Financial Counsellor in the Central Queensland region for more than 16 years. During this time, she has become well known amongst farmers and agribusiness professionals alike. Emma grew up on a cattle property near Alpha and has always had a strong interest in rural industry.
Emma’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Environmental Management (Honours Class IIB) – Rural Systems, Diploma of Agriculture; Diploma of Rural Management and Diploma of Community Services (Financial Counselling).
After spending some time working in agribusiness with a bank, Emma chose to step into the role of a Rural Financial Counsellor, which complements her interests in agriculture and finance. Emma has worked with a diverse range of enterprises, including beef cattle and cropping and has developed extensive skills in negotiating, problem-solving and business analysis. Emma finds her role very rewarding and hopes to continue to help farmers for many years to come.
Operators will benefit from contacting Emma Cook to help identify ways to become self-reliant in business and to better manage change and adjustment. Emma services the lower Issac and lower Barcaldine regions. In conjunction with her RFC colleagues, Emma will ensure no part of North Queensland goes without a dedicated RFC to travel to and meet with clients.
