Natalie Hughes is our Townsville-based RFC servicing the North West. Raised on a beef cattle and small-crops property in Far North Queensland, and having also worked across numerous farming enterprises including cattle, silage, sugar cane, watermelons, pineapples, pumpkins, lychees, and bananas, she has extensive knowledge of the conditions faced by family farming businesses. She is particularly passionate about the economic and social sustainability of agriculture.
Natalie holds a Bachelor of Education (Sec), Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and Master of Economics (AgResEc), the latter involving a thesis that researched determinants of Queensland farmers' willingness to engage in natural resource management practices post environmental (reef) protection and vegetation law amendments. She is presently studying for a Dual Diploma in Agriculture and Agribusiness and a Diploma of Financial Counselling (Rural).
Natalie services the North West monsoon trough-affected areas including the Charters Towers, Flinders, Richmond, McKinlay and Winton shires. In conjunction with her RFC colleagues, Natalie will ensure no part of North Queensland goes without a dedicated RFC to travel to and meet with clients.
Operators will benefit from contacting the Natalie to help identify ways to become self-reliant in business and to better manage change and adjustment.
Natalie can work with you to develop options and support you during the decisions making process.
Client's information is treated in the strictest confidence and services are free and independent of financial institutions, welfare agencies and government.
